- At age 39, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy. I was given days to live with a heart function of 5% at that time. I was also told I needed a heart transplant to survive. I am now a 13 year survivor and have not had a heart transplant. I am married to my best friend, Steve and have one daughter, age 19. I'm sharing my journey to help others and because it "Matters to my Heart."

Easy way to donate to the cause
Ok...here's an easey way to donate to the heart assoc for research. Go to www.campbellsaddressyourheart.com vote for the red dress you like and campbells will donate $1.00 for each vote until March 2nd. If I did this right, just click on the title of this post and it will take you to the website. If not.....just type it in! You can vote every day. Remember Friday is National Go Red for Women day. Wear your red to bring awareness to women about our #1 threat! Love your heart!
